Pedersoli Studio Legale, with a team led by Alessandro Marena (equity partner) and Andrea Faoro (partner), has advised IDeA Taste of Italy, an Italian fund operating in the agribusiness sector managed by DeA Capital Alternative Funds SGR, in the acquisition of the ownership of Me & Alice s.r.l., a company managing the network under “Alice Pizza” brand and 10 companies, which manage overall 16 retail outlets. Alice Pizza, founded in 1990 by Domenico Giovannini, is the first Italian take-away pizza network having 159 retail outlets.
The investment project of IDeA Taste of Italy, which will entirely own 70% of the Group, is in line with the intention of Giovannini family to increase the business growth in Italy mainly focusing on direct openings in the shopping centres of central and northern Italy and in new channels (e.g. outlet, retail park), subsequently strengthening its presence in selected European countries.
Pedersoli team advising DeA Capital Alternative Funds in the transaction is composed, also, of Massimo Trimboli Raguseo and Edoardo Bononi (associates) as to corporate M&A aspects, Andrea Scarpellini (associate) as to labour law matters, while Marco Trevisan (senior associate) provided legal assistance in relation to administrative law issues.
